Eat Cake!

We have a baker for our wedding!

Today we booked Eat Cake to make our wedding cake.  It is absolutely delicious, and they've come up with some creative designs.  Yay!

Well, I picked up my dress.  I still need to have the alterations done.  

 

We're in a pretty big decision time.  We need to find an officiant, especially since we're having a non-traditional outdoor wedding.  We also need to get cracking on invitations.  My friend Alycia is being kind enough to do some design work for invites/save the dates.

We're also starting to do some of the fun stuff, like tasting cake.  So far, we've done a tasting at the Shaker Baker.  If we go there, we've got a pretty good combo slated.  However, in the spirit of eating more cake and shopping around, we're going to try a couple other places first.  We're going to Eat Cake! next week.  I'm open to other suggestions as well, so speak up!

Well, we're on our way.

Last weekend, I bought my dress. After trying many different styles and shops, I finally settled on a simple, informal gown from David's Bridal.

Tomorrow we are getting our contract together for our ceremony and reception venue: Camp Whitcomb/Mason. While most people wouldn't think to get married at a Boys and Girls Club camp, it offers the perfect blend of nature and amenities.

I also have invites/Save the Dates in the works with our friend Alycia.

We still have a lot of work ahead of us, but I'm glad to be nearly settled with these other details.
